Saturday 1s win - Saturday 2s, 3s and 4s all lose (July 3 fixtures)

A mixed week as the Saturday 1s continue their winning streak (read the scorecard here) and the 2s, 3s and 4s all fall to defeat.

Saturday 2nd and 3rd XI lose, 4s draw - more results to come (June 21)

The Saturday 2nd XI lost at home despite two fine Centuries from Badman and Suleman.

The Saturday 3rd XI succumbed to defeat at home to Kew (read the report here) and the 4s had a run and event-filled draw at OMT. As a special treat, guest author Aaron Shaikh has written the match report for the 4th XI fixture.

Saturday 2nd XI, 4th XI and Sunday 1s lose - other results to come for 19 and 20 June

The recent weekend's fixtures saw the Saturday 2s lose by 6 wickets, (read the scorecard here), the Saturday 4s lose their friendly game against Sheen Park 5s (19 June) and the Sunday 1s lose a league game (20 June).
Other results have yet to be recorded on the web site (you can, of course, trawl through the Thames Valley League web site for news of the other league teams on Saturday).
The Saturday 4s played in a thriller - losing by 2 wkts the game went to the last ball ...
The Sunday 1s lost to a greater margin but Imran Farouki's century was well worth talking about.

The Saturday 3rd XI wins - Saturday 1s and 2s, 3s lose: results for the 12th June

A good win for the Saturday 3rd XI was not matched by the other Saturday sides as the 1s, 2s and 4s all lost. The Sunday 1st XI lost as well.
The only consolation for the 4s was that - as their league game was cancelled at last minute, they came away with 20 points. Although it ended in defeat, they were grateful for a late fixture away at Teddington.

A Palladian villa in west London - the site of the 3s and 4s home ground gets a face-lift

The Chiswick House trust has been getting rave write-ups for the new buildings and adornments at Chiswick House - the site of the 3s and 4s cricket ground.

Important 4th XI information - June 12 fixture change of venue and start time

The 4th XI is now playing at Bushey Park in Teddington on June 12. The game is a friendly, limited overs, and starts at 12.30pm.

PHOTO EXCLUSIVE: June 5 at chiswick house

The glorious sunshine brought out the photographers in Chiswick on Saturday. The Saturday 4th XI was press-ganged into posing for a few pictures and Maarten showed the public how to bat.

June 5 results: Saturday 3s record league victory, Saturday 4s lose

All the results from Saturday's league games (June 5) are not yet on the web site, but the good news is that the Saturday 3rd XI recorded a win away at Eversley. Read the full match report and scorecard here.

Terrible weather ensures winning Bank Holiday weekend for CLCC Saturday sides

Terrible weather over the May bank holiday weekend last week meant that the cricket club's Saturday sides ended up victorious over all.
Although the 3rd and 4th XI games were rained off, initial reports suggest that both the Saturday 1s and 2s were victorious.
Full marks for perseverence, and for the 2s - who batted first - full points for a home victory.

Saturday 2s continue winning start to league season - this weekend's results are coming in

After the hottest weekend of the summer so far, the Saturday 2s have continued their fine start to the TVL season with the third win in a row.

Overall, however, results were mixed. The Saturday 1s and 3s both lost their games. Read a detailed match report from the 3s here.

Summer BBQ date confirmed - all welcome at Whitton on Sunday June 27

Book the date in your diaries, June the 27th is the date of the annual cricket club BBQ. All players, past and present, are welcome. Social Secretary Steven Rushworth promises an evening of drinks and BBQ with some "sporting events".

Club Committee is delighted to announce that James Noel is the new president of Chiswick & Latymer Cricket Club

James Noel has accepted the invitation of the Committee to succeed Basil Keen as President of the Cricket Club. Basil was President from the formation of the club in 2000, but stood down at the AGM in March.

Kerrison passes late fitness test - available to bat, not keep

The 4s, who have been eagerly awaiting the return of Martin Kerrison, are delighted to hear that he has recovered from a finger fracture and is fit to play and bat again.
However, he won't be able to keep wicket for another six (6) weeks.

League season starts on Saturdays with two fine CLCC victories

The Thames Valley League season started this Saturday (May 8) with the second and third XIs recording good victories.
Despite an ongoing battle with technology, the 2nd XI has posted its result on the web site - you can read about a fine all-round performance from the side here.
Please return to this web site next week to see if a) the 2nd XI will keep up their winning start to the season b) they will ever successfully enter the opposition's names into the database. Fingers crossed. Nails bitten.
Despite the absence of the 3s regular skipper, Simon Barnes, the 3rd XI recorded an excellent win in what can only be described as a game of two halves.
Bagshot 3s played the game at 20-20 speed - Chiswick played the game as if the era of timeless tests had made a comeback. You can read all about it here.

May 1st results are in despite weather-affected weekend

Results from Saturday's games (May 1) are now available on the web site. Despite the poor weather that washed out both Sunday (May 2) fixtures, the Saturday 2s managed a fine 55 run win. Read the scorecard for details of the game against Old Wimbledonians.

The Saturday 3s enjoyed a tight game, despite losing, against Old Wimbledonians at Chiswick House. Read about the match and see details of Craig Tucker's Man of the Match performance here.

In contrast, the Saturday 4s were on the receiving end of a 10 wicket defeat. If you are feeling strong, the details are recorded here.

Saturday 4th XI sets up fixture with Staines & Laleham CC for the 1st May

The Saturday 4th XI will be playing at Staines and Laleham this weekend.

Saturday 2s lose to Kempton 2nd XI

Despite a fine half century from Trevor Woolley, the club chairman, the Saturday second XI suffered a defeat at home to Kempton 2s.
